Running Accomplishments:

I have run five marathons (fastest being 3:58) and 4 half marathons (fastest being 1:45).  Those are the only races I have ever done, but I love it and I plan on trying to keep it up for as long as possible.  I want to run every race better than the one before.

Personal:

I am a teacher, wife, and mother of two little girls so needless to say...I am a little busy.  I love running with my friends, not only for the workout, but for the social aspect as well.  I just hope I can keep getting faster all the time!

Had a good run.  Ran with Liesel some of the way and then alone the rest.  It's a lonely road without Jessie right there.  I was happy with my splits.  We started in Dameron and ran down to the church.

Ran Foremaster today and I couldn't get in my groove.  I felt like lead foot!  I guess being on your feet all day takes its toll.  I need to get back to the mode of working.  8:32, 8:54, 8:35, 8:27, 8:28

We took it easy this week on mileage.  It felt good to bypass Dameron Valley!  I hate that long uphill.  Today would have been awesome if I hadn't brought a dead i-pod.  That background music is essential for me and it was a hard pill to swallow.  Anyway, it was a good day!

Ran the college run today with Liesel and Annette.  It is so nice to run with friends.  Going back to work sucks!  Anyway, it was an okay run.

Jess and I ran late tonight.  It is so hard to run in the heat after being on my feet all day!  We ran Foremaster which was even worse than a regular run but it wasn't too bad on time.

Ran on the course today.  Started toward the top of Dammeron and ran to the park.  It was a good run.  I tried to stay around 7:40  at my fastest(except on hills) cuz I think I do better if I am just consistent.  There was a point where I felt really good and had to slow down quite a bit but toward the end I was dragging.  I should have taken another Gu but I only had 3 miles left so I thought I could make it.  I did keep it at about 8:00 the last few miles but felt like I had lead in my shoes.

The 8:02 was going up Winchester so that is exciting!  I don't think I have ever run that fast up that hill!

Ran the course today.  I felt pretty good and stuck to my plan.  I didn't want to go any faster than 7:30 cuz (except downhill) I always bonk.  I felt pretty consistant till the end.  We started above Veyo so our first few miles were the hill and Dameron.  I am always excited to get to the top of those.  When I finished I realized that I had soaked blood through my sock and shoe from a blister.  I have never gotten a blister with my Asics Nimbus shoes but today was a different story.  I think they changed the toe box or something cuz it was bad news.  Now I am stressed cuz I don't know what to do.  It's not like I can go drop another $120 on new shoes!  Lame.

Ran Foremaster tonight.  My goal was to have my average under 8:10 min/mile and it was 7:59!  Yea!

Ran 1 warm up mile on treadmill then 1 mile sprints then 1 mile at about 8:00 min pace then 1 mile sprints again.
